TRB142 on varustatud laialdaselt kasutatava RS232-liidesega seadme kaugjuhtimiseks.
See on varustatud missioonikriitiliste LTE Cat 1 võimetega ja OpenWRT-l põhineva tarkvaraga, mis pakub seega suurt kohandamisvõimalust.
Nii nagu teisedki TRB-seeria tooted, pakub see laia valikut tarkvarafunktsioone, nagu SMS-juhtimine, VPN, IPsec, tulemüür ja FOTA-tugi.
See värav on vastupidav, pakub laia valikut toitepingeid ja ühildub Teltonika Networks'i kaugjuhtimissüsteemiga (RMS).
